Winter chills.

So although the winter is still here i have a good feeling the snow has officially pissed of but it doesnt end rain, frost and grim clouds still lurk but amongst this grim weather is some parks and street available for us BMX riders to take advantage of whiles its not to wet, this is what i came up with a nice mellow mix with some chilled riding, enjoy. Stay BAB.

Sunderland 2010 Footage.

So as you all know i moved to Sunderland July last year and has now been a few months since then. Over the past months i've ridden many new places and met many new people which had been really cool. Everyone up north is really friendly which had made moving up here a lot easier, as well as riding college, girlfriend, family and drinking sessions are all going down perfect to. So it was a very good end to 2010. As i've been in a couple of little edits and also some of my own i thought it would be a good idea for my blog to make a little edit of all clips of myself just riding in Sunderland, so here it is enjoy. Wallride King.

Ruben Alcantara is one very special Spanish man when it comes to riding BMX and in particular wall rides in this Etnies Grounded part he shreds! Stay BAB.

Silky.

The other day Rax dropped me a text asking if i fancyed a ride down Silksworth Skatepark, now after observing the conditions outside the answer was an easy yes. Dry pavements everywere and the sky did not look to worrying. As it was the first ride of the new year and for a while i was realy up for a good ride on my bike to just get some tricks out of the bag and have a good deserved session after to long. Got down there about Twelve after my mission there from Shiney Row, the ride there the worst part of the day realy, hills and just pure cold weather. This was all worth though when i got there i met Rax and we got our BMX on throwing what we could and just enjoying BMX. Quite a few people turned up during the course of the day, Tezza, Monkey, Scott and others still not 100% with names but ill learn soon enough, everyone was pulling out the tricks and just getting shit done. Pegs, Whips, Bars and Pedal grins were just a few thing i saw. Had a little session on the pegs but they wernt for me just wanted to hit some real quarters and ride about realy. Learnt a one handed X-Up so was stoked on that, not quite Ryan Nyquist but i plan to touch up on them as soon as i get down Silky again. Overall good day and no problems with the rust bucket and no scratches on myself either.

I will have a new post up very soon on my old skatepark and how its new build is going so stay tuned. Stay BAB.

Dynamix.

Before the new year myself, Rax, Jake and Jonny decided to ride Dynamix skatepark located in Gateshead, as the winter was in full flow with all the elements involved riding out side was just know option. We took the train to Newcastle and then biked into Gateshead, now riding through Newcastle was just a first for me as you get the better angle of spots and what its really got to offer but the streets weren't ready for us yet, a few more months till they'll be hit up. On the way to Dynamix we came across a very large icicle hanging from a bridges guttering and running all the way down to the floor it was complete madness, the picture speaks for itself!

We arrived at Dynamix in good time and Jonny and Jake went Mc D's, being there early gave me the chance to have a look round the park but all register. Originally the park was actually used was just a ghetto set up for locals who new of the warehouse and also used for P5 BMX Jam but now its actually got a set up skatepark and has funding in the works. The park is made up of many different sections but overall quite a random park with parts of it actually donated such as the Chester-le-street jumpbox, now in my opinion it was not the best park i have ever been to but it somewhere for people to ride when weathers against us.
So there was a pretty good turn out on the day as usually from what ive heard and we managed to get pretty good session in, one downer for me was trying an opposite feeble to 180 on a ledge there and hung up resulting in my hitting my head VERY hard, but luckily I was wearing a helmet. For the rest of the day I was a bit of girl as my neck was killing from it whipping back so hard but the pains gone now. So overall was a good day of riding got to see some of the locals shred and also the lads to but sadly it didn't end so well, after riding back to the train station after enjoying some very nice food from Subways we were greeted by a man as we were entering the turnstiles, this man then began to tell us that all trains to Sundelrand are cancelled due to the staff being on strike this included coaches. This put us in a bit of a dilemma as we had already payed for return tickets and some of us had no money left. This meant we were left with the option of hoping someone could pick all four of us up or we were biking the horrible cold fifteen miles home. Thankfully after a calling around and also feeling sorry for ourselves we were rescued by Jays dad in his taxi for £20. An eventful day. Stay BAB

2011

A new year and a new start for many people, now ill get one opinion out of the way and that is to do with "end of the world" argument i beleive that the world will not end in Decemeber this year as i plan to ride and carry on life as normal. So anyway its the new year and already theres been lots of new edits dropping everywhere including the new Sunderland Unknown Parasites edit. now i'm not sure about the weather situation across the globe but here in Sunderland it has not been so pleasant, I think i've managed to ride the BMX about 3-4 times so i have got a few riding adventures talk about also back in Werrington where i'm from has a new skatepark being built after about 2-3 years of the BAB and others working to get funding and permission. So this is all news to come, hold tight and it will be with shortly. Stay BAB
